In the bible it says that he who gets himself a wife, finds a good thing and finds favor with God.

And this will soon be applicable to Museveni’s youth minister Balaam Barugahara who, after decades of comfortable bachelorhood and Ssemyekozo-hood, has found a good thing in a lady called Aisha Kyamanywa. In her early 40s, Aisha works as a civil servant with one of the govt ministries in Kampala.

She is a single mother who has single handedly been raising her 13-year- old son who studies in S1 at one of the elite schools in Kampala. Lucky girl Aisha originates from Masindi like Balaam himself. And she is a munyoro.

She grew up in Mbuya and later on Kiwatule in a condominium property where her dad and mum lived until his Covid death in late 2021.

Her dad Norman Kyamanywa Mugasa succumbed to Covid in 2021. Her mum is Fatna Nyangoma, a retired nurse from Toro.

Before joining Makerere where she graduated as a teacher, Aisha for 6 years studied at Mariam high school Kawempe.

Her other sister Shakirah K, the Mubs finance management graduate works in the aviation business in Entebbe.

Her other brother Hamza Kyamanywa is a lawyer who used to work under senior counsel Mohammed Mbabazi who used to be Besigye’s lawyer.

He recently returned from doing a masters in oil & gas in Scotland and opened his own law firm at parliamentary avenue.

Their father Mzee Kyamwanywa was a close friend of opposition lawyer Mohammed Mbabazi who also comes from Bunyoro and he is good friends with Balaam.

Aisha is a rich hardworking lady in her own right and at first she was working at the ministry of finance in the administration department and was in charge of fuel cards management.

She recently completed her own mansion in Sonde near Namugongo and will soon be leaving her parents home in Kiwatule. At work, she recently got a promotion and was even assigned a posh government car which she drives herself.

Aisha grew up in the city and her father, a businessman with three wives, used to live with them as children along Entebbe road near Conrad plaza.

Her first born boy and only child was fathered by Nathan Barinda, a handsome Mutoro man who works at Airtel in the sales department. That’s the babe senior bachelor Balaam is currently considering for marriage.

They met not very long ago and this was after Aisha’s family got involved in some wrangles, which Balaam and other big people from Bunyoro were approached to mediate.

Aisha’s dad Kyamanywa was a prominent man in Kampala and used to work with posta Uganda before taking early retirement to concentrate on private business.

When her dad died and Duwa prayers of 40 days was held, mufti Mubajje of UMSC sent a powerful delegation of senior Sheikhs to travel to Masindi and commiserate with the family. This shows how powerful and connected he was.

He indeed left a lot of property in Kampala, Hoima and Masindi where he was the chief sugarcane outgrower for Kinyara sugar works.

Balaam who is a succesful minister and businessman also comes from Masindi and his family has already contacted Aisha’s people making it clear that their son is serious and determined to walk their daughter down the aisle if all goes well.

They are already working with Aisha’s uncle Siraje Rurwarire who lives in the UK to work out the small details to have Balaam visit the home and be officially allowed to take their daughter for good and for keeps.

Knowledgeable sources say that a visitation date had previously been set but the function was called off and pushed to a future date. Multiple sources say Balaam is very excited about his new babe and is more than determined to spend the rest of his life with her. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
